Richard began his career at a merchant bank in London, before working at HIT Entertainment. He then founded Contender Entertainment Group in 1995, which he grew to be the #1 independent UK company in home entertainment (Art Attack, Spooks), film distribution (Ong-Bak, The Twilight Saga) and children's TV production (Peppa Pig, Tractor Tom).
Charlie trained as a Chartered Accountant at Price Waterhouse (now PwC) before working as Finance Director in the manufacturing & IT sectors. He joined Contender Entertainment Group in 1999 as CFO and helped grow the business through to its sale to Entertainment One (ETO-L) in 2007, after which he act as COO as the UK business continued to expand.
Joan has worked everywhere in children's TV (in the UK and abroad) and has an unrivalled knowledge of the people and the principles it takes to make a sucessful children's TV property. She joined Contender Entertainment Group in 2001 to build the TV division, developing in-house ideas as well as third party productions, which included finding Peppa Pig.
